CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY –- The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) Friday constituted a three-man team to investigate not just the beheading and dismembering of 11 Philippine Marines in the recent clash in Tipo-Tipo, Basilan, but also on the beheading of an Imam in the same village reportedly perpetrated by a Marine soldier during the same incident.

Peace Process czar and Presidential Assistant here in Mindanao lawyer Jesus Dureza announced that the International Monitoring Team (IMT) is now on the ground to personally gather facts for its own investigation.

"The government is also conducting our own investigation," he said.

Lanao Sur Representative Faysah Dumarpa and top brass military officials are one in their call that the group behind the "dishonoring of the Marine's dead bodies" be made to suffer the highest penalty provided by law.

Some soldiers here who requested anonymity said the culprits should at the very least be dismembered alive for what they did to the Marines. (Lizanilla J. Amarga of Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro)
