SBP to hold session in Cebu

THE Samahang Basketball ng Pilipinas will push through with its planning session in Cebu City this Friday.

“Last week, MVP (SBP president Manny V. Pangilinan) wanted to hold it here but because of some matters, he needed to reschedule it,” Eala said.

Eala will present to the board of trustees his programs and plans for the next four years.

“It’s going to show that SBP is not all Manila. We will be reaching out to key places in the country, not just in Cebu but all over the country,” Eala said.

Among the plans that Eala will present is the first official tournament that SBP will be holding—the Nokia Manila Youth Invitational Championships from Aug. 14 to 17 in Pasig City.

“This is the first tournament that we are putting up as SBP. Then we will try to have the National Juniors Championships in the last quarter of this year,” Eala said. (RCM)
