Job fair opens

A JOB fair that started Saturday is expected to facilitate the hiring of information technology (IT) personnel, particularly by call centers and business process outsourcing companies (BPO) in Cebu.

Organized by CSC Advertising, the Grand Job Fair ’08 will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 20, 26 and 27, Aug. 2 and 3, 9 and 10 and Aug. 16 at the Gaisano Country Mall parking area.

Seven companies are participating—Qualfon, ePerformax, iComm International, Bigfoot, Teletech, eTelecare and Absolute Com. Center—with more companies set to join in the ensuing weekends.

“The idea was to generate interest to participating companies to attract qualified IT professionals to their company,” said Jojo Colinares of CSC Advertising.

The job fair is being held together with the first d’che Spa Salon Inter-Call Center/BPO bowling tournament at the Gaisano Country Mall Bowlingplex. (PR)
