Monday, July 21, 2008 MGB releases ore transport guidelines
THE Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Northern Mindanao has released the process flow for ore transport permit application for permit holders, contractors, accredited mineral traders, retailers and processors.
The applicant must fill out the application form for five sets, which should be notarized and submit/present to MGB the permit number, buying agreement/purchase order and payment of excise tax, etc. for the applied commodity tonnage.
The application fee for metallic is P2,000 while P1,000 for non-metallic P2,000.
Also, the verification fee is P6,000.
The applicant must also bear the transportation expense of the verification team.
The verification team will make the documentation and prepare the report that will be submitted to the regional director.
Submitted application will be subject to evaluation by the head executive assistant or by the designated personnel of the Mine Management Division.
Ore transport permit processing is three working days.
Anybody caught using fake ore transport permit document shall be dealt with appropriate sanction as per penal provisions of Republic Act (RA) 7942. (Press release)
