Wednesday, May 07, 2008 11th Dairy Congress opens today
THE Dairy Confederation of the Philippines composed of dairy farmers and dairy farmers cooperatives nationwide will start Tuesday their 11th Dairy Congress and Expo at The Atrium, Lim Ket Kai Center.
The 11th Dairy Congress, which will last until Friday, is a yearly event among the various stakeholders of the dairy industry in the country from the farmers themselves to the processors and everybody else who is involved, especially the end consumer.
Even though it is still disappointing to note that the Philippines still imports milk, the dairy farmers have banded together and are determined to lobby the future of the dairy industry in the country.
In this 11th Dairy Congress, topics on how to improve the dairy industry using new technologies and incentives for farmers and processors will be tackled.
