Cebu - A Place For All Seasons

As a Cebuana student in Manila in the early seventies, I loved to talk about what I regarded. as my precious province - Cebu. I would describe to my mesmerized peers its lovely capital city which is within easy access of beautiful beaches and majestic mountains. I would enjoy portraying in so many words the Cebuana's lively yet sedate lifestyle, in a bucolic yet cosmopolitan setting. Often I encountered difficulty explaining that cebu was not the typical, time-stand-still 'probinsiya'. Oftentimes I wished that there had been an informative pictorial book to depict Cebu more aptly.
