Robinsons Starmills expands Fiesta Kapampangan al fresco

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Hungry and craving for truly delicious Capampangan food, specialties and delicacies?

Now you do not have go to Guagua for its "chicharon" or crisscross to Crossing in Angeles City for that famous sisig. You don't even have to go that extra mile south for that all time favorite "taba ng talangka."

That's because the native cuisine of Pampanga could be found right at the newly expanded Fiesta Capampangan al fresco of Robinsons Starmills, which opened on Friday afternoon at its Robinsons Gate.

Melody Dela Cruz, Robinsons Malls Group Property Manager was all too ecstatic about the grand launch, much as people of all ages trooped to the al fresco to sample a wide array of native dishes.

"Our concept here is to bring into one center the best of Pampanga and its dishes. We have everything from food to 'pasalubong' that are native to the province. Now, one does not to go far for these specialties since you will find them all here at Fiestang Capampangan," Dela Cruz quipped.

She said the prices are very reasonable and costs almost the same as when you buy them from sources in various towns.

"I actually suggested to management that we put up an al fresco like this not only for local shoppers here but for tourists as well. So you, all our tenants here, some 14 of them, are all from Pampanga," she said, adding that it is hassle free as one does not to have to worry about prices or dig deep into pockets to get a taste of sumptuous Campampangan cuisine.

"As an added perk, we've set up a lounge and really made the place comfy and cool with its lighting and soft mood. It's a far cry from the usual noisy and crowded food courts. It's how we want people to see Pampanga in a different light," Dela Cruz said.
