ILOILO City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas’ current quandary is whether to run or not for congressman representing the lone city district in the 2010 polls.
With his promise to announce his political plan by October 31, 2009, Treñas said that with the help of his family, he is taking the process of listening to where the path of God is.

He said if he finally decides on or before October 31 to run for another position, he still has three days to think starting Thursday with his family and close friends' consultation.
He admitted his friends and supporters are praying for his good political decision that will be major factor in the next election.
Two political options are open for Treñas, whether to run for City Vice Mayor under the administration's Lakas-Kampi-CMD in tandem with Presidential chief legal counsel Raul Gonzalez Sr., or to run for congressman under an opposition party.
Treñas said he loves the city and will always be there to help, but he said he will not impose himself or force whoever will be there as city mayor of his own way of governance.
Vice Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog has offered Treñas a slot in his own group to run for congressman with Mabilog as the mayoral standard bearer in the opposition party.
Mabilog said he would announce his final political slate, including the political party, on November 3, 2009 at his office. (LCP)
