CAGAYAN de Oro Vice Mayor Vicente Emano slammed what he said was an obvious machination to have flying voters sneaked into the last-minute registration at the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
Emano, a former mayor and governor of Misamis Oriental, cited an alleged maneuver to have certain individuals from Barangay Camaman-an register as voters in the upland village of Taglimao.

"Some of these people were caught and they have admitted that they were paid to register as flying voters. We believe there are many of them," the vice mayor was quoted as saying in a City Council newsletter.
The claim could not immediately be verified. A check by Sun.Star in all police stations showed that not a single arrest was made pertaining to any elections violation as of this week.
Last week, however, the Comelec discovered several double registrants who used unauthorized voter's registration forms.
The fraud was discovered, however, because the forms had been found to be duplicated from earlier registrants.
Emano appealed those who had purportedly succeeded in registering as flying voters not to vote anymore, warning them of possible imprisonment.
"You will really regret once you are caught so I advise you not to vote anymore," he said in the dialect.
The vice mayor also appealed to the Comelec to check on the list of voters to determine any anomaly in the registration process.

What moral ascendancy does
What moral ascendancy does the donkey have? Siya man ang nagpa-uso ana diri sa dakbayan-read: flying voters. why don't you try and ask residents of isla delta and other depressed areas in the city where they come from. Most of them are from Dongkoy's hometown, Tagoloan relocated in time when he ran for mayor of the city.
The story is valid pero dili pa si Dongkoy ang dapat kuhaan og comments on this issue. Wala diay dira ang Comelec officer o bisan clerk man lang?
