Lethal Combination undercard results
Francisco Lorenzo of the Dominican Republic won the interim WBC super featherweight title after Mexican Humberto Soto was disqualified by referee Joe Cortez.
Soto punished Lorenzo right from the start and downed Lorenzo twice in the fourth round, but, according to the referee, the fighter from Tijuana, in the second knockdown, continued to hit Lorenzo when the latter was already going down.

Cortez and other ring officials spent several minutes consulting each other before disqualifying Soto.
The controversial win improved Lorenzo’s record to 33-4, while the loss dropped Soto to 43-7-2.
Heavyweight Monte Barrett quickly floored fellow American Tye Fields in just 57 seconds of the first round.
It was the 34th win of Barrett in 40 fights, while the 6-foot-8 former collegiate cager Fields dropped his win-loss record to 40-2.
Steven Luevano of Mexico retained his WBO featherweight crown via a split-draw verdict against Puerto Rican challenger Mario Santiago.
Luevano (35-1-1) and Santiago (19-1-1) were both down in the second round then took turns pounding each other thereafter. The judges scored the fight 117-111 for Luevano, 115-113 for Santiago and 114-114
Super-bantamweight Jesus Rojas (12-0, 10 KOs) posted a convincing sixth-round TKO over Alex Baba (26-13-1, 19 KOs). Rojas downed Baba in the opening round then battered Baba until the bout was waved off by referee Jay Nady at 1:18.
Filipino lightweight Dennis Laurente (29-3-5, 15 KOs) scored a fourth-round TKO over Steve Quinonez (30-13-1, 10 KOs). Quinonez was in control until he caught a counter right from Laurente and fell to the canvas. Quinonez, after surviving a second knockdown, was unable to come out for Round 5, citing a left foot injury.
In other bouts, featherweight Luis Cruz knocked (1:39) Miguel Albares out in 1:39 of the third round, while junior-welterweight Khadaphi Proctor won over Carlos Tangrago, 38-38, 39-37, 39-37. (Sunnex)
