THE six vacant stalls at the sari-sari section will be reserved as offices, not stalls as earlier decided by the Baguio City Council.
In his weekly press briefing, Mayor Reinaldo Bautista Jr. said he would veto the council’s award of the six remaining stalls.
He maintained the six stalls will remain reserved for government use.

In the meantime, he said the 50 stall holders may begin occupying their stalls.
Last Monday, the council raffled the six remaining stalls to vendors who were earlier occupying subdivided stalls.
Bautista insisted that stalls should be bid out and raffled off as was done recently.
Some vendors have not used their new stalls pending the installation of electrical connections.
Vendors at the market section, meanwhile, welcome their transfer to the new stalls.
According to Olan Manzano, many buyers have shied away from buying vegetables in their area because the space is congested.
With their transfer to the renovated stalls, Manzano and other vendors are keeping their fingers crossed they could start earning more with the coming Christmas season. (Rimaliza Opiña)
